Therapeutic Approach

Grounded in Piaget’s developmental theory, I utilize a prescriptive blend of dynamic and supportive evidence-based approaches to create a space where each child and adolescent is met at their developmental level. By integrating Piaget’s cognitive development theory with a Child-Centered and Gestalt approach woven with elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I ensure that therapy is engaging, holistic, and adaptable. This personalized framework allows me to help children and adolescents heal, grow, and develop the skills they need to thrive.

The Child-Centered
Approach

The Gestalt
Approach

Creates a supportive, non-judgmental environment where they feel safe to express themselves. Through empathy, acceptance, and authenticity, this approach helps young clients explore their emotions, build self-awareness, and develop the confidence to navigate their challenges. By fostering trust and self-empowerment, Child-Centered therapy encourages emotional growth and healing.

Focuses on helping clients become more aware of their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in the present moment. By using creative techniques like art, role-playing, and interactive activities, this approach encourages self-expression and helps young clients identify unspoken feelings or unresolved issues. Through exploration of their experiences, children and adolescents gain insight into how their past may affect their present behavior, fostering personal responsibility and emotional regulation. The goal is to help them develop greater self-awareness, improve communication, and strengthen their ability to cope with life's challenges.

The Cognitive Behavioral
Approach

A goal-oriented approach that helps children and adolescents identify and change negative thought patterns and behaviors. By learning to challenge unhelpful thinking and adopt healthier coping strategies, clients are empowered to manage anxiety, depression, and other emotional challenges with confidence.
